KRAFTWERK secures two large-scale rooftop PV projects totalling 2.5 MW

Proving once again that the rooftop solar market in Germany’s commercial sector has significant potential, KRAFTWERK secures two large-scale rooftop photovoltaic projects totalling 2.5 MW.

The two separate projects, which are located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, consist of 1.7 MW and 0.8 MW respectively. In cooperation with MedioEnergy, KRAFTWERK will design, implement and commission the two PV power plants.
A total of 9,571 solar modules will be installed on approx. 20,000 square meters of rooftop space.

Sharing his thoughts on the current development, KRAFTWERK’S Karsten Schulte states, “Within the German commercial sector, the focus has shifted from ground-mounted to rooftop installations. Having designed and installed the largest rooftop installation in Berlin-Brandenburg, and considering our upcoming project pipeline, we can safely say that we are more than pleased with the momentum.”

Both projects have been purchased by a private investor. Commissioning is planned for Q4/2016.
