Tierra Atacama Hotel

KRAFTWERK designed and constructed a photovoltaic (PV) plant within an off-grid diesel system for Tierra Atacama Hotel & Spa located in the Atacama Desert. The heart of the solution is an intelligent control unit which allows a stable PV-diesel supply system without the use of batteries. During the day, the PV plant generates up to 50% of the hotel’s electricity.

“We are very excited with the results of this solar project which supports our commitment to the environment. This innovative hybrid system has been a tremendous advance for us. We hope to continue developing solar projects hand in hand with KRAFTWERK, who give us the confidence to invest in sustainable technologies.”
